Lake Pichola

The heart of Udaipur! Enjoy a peaceful boat ride, especially at sunset, and then sit beside the lake at Gangaur/Ambrai ghats. It's a truly serene experience. There is a JagMandir Island Palace in the center of the lake. You can visit for some coffee and a stroll (but the ride there and food is expensive). There is also perfect tourist market around it for everything from clothes and jewellery to souvenirs.

Perched on a hilltop, this palace offers breathtaking panoramic views of Udaipur's lakes and the Aravalli hills and hence was inhabitied by the King and Queen during monsoon. Come here for a stunning sunset. It gets windy, so carry a jacket. Best during monsoon for lush green views.
