The Zostel in Coorg provides quite a pleasant stay surrounded by lush greenery.
It is a clean, well-maintained property with three stay options: Dorms, private rooms, and rooms in independent villas.
Tip: We recommend having a vehicle here, as it is not in central Coorg.

Hill Crest Resort is a wonderful resort located in Coorg. It has a swimming pool and various other amenities such as table tennis, a pool table, and a gym, which makes it perfect for families with kids.

Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa, Coorg:
One of the top-notch luxurious properties in India, Taj Madikeri is crazy good! It offers great views of mountain tops and rainforests. It has an amazing infinity pool, and the luxury of Taj is, to say the least, better than most.

Udaya - 2BHK Villa, Coorg:
Located quite close to central Madikeri, Udaya provides its guests with a home-like stay, having 2 bedrooms and 6 guests maximum. This is a perfect economical option for a large family, or a group having 4 or more people.
Where to Eat
1. Coorg Cuisine
The closest representation of the traditional Kodava food, Coorg Cuisine presents a plethora of native dishes that taste delicious.
Akki Roti, Neer Dosa and Pandi Curry are some of the most recommended dishes.
2. Ainmane Café
A very small, pleasant coffee shop located in the heart of Coorg. Their coffee is so fresh and decadent, that you will want to visit this place again. They also sell their coffee, chocolate, and a variety of other products, which are a must-try.
3. Raintree Restaurants
A restaurant with the classic good-ambience good-staff attitude, and decent food. Visit here if you want to have classic food and a chill time!
4. Big Cup Café
The usual café with a decent ambiance, good to visit if you want to return to the ordinary during your trip to Coorg. They serve Italian, American food along with Coorg's coffee as well.
What to do
1. Dubare Elephant Camp
If you are fond of elephants, this place is a must-visit. You get to meet the elephants in their natural habitat, and you can also interact with them if you wish. Kids, if not afraid of elephants, might love this place!
2. Namdroling Monastery
Namdroling Monastery is a center for inspiration as you will find monks living here in their homes, and the monastery is very beautiful. A visit here will leave you with admiration for monasteries and a calm mind.
3. Mercara Gold Estate Coffee Plantation
Coorg is known for coffee, so a visit to the coffee plantation is a must! Mercara Coffee Estate provides guests with a tour of the plantation, explaining the different types of coffee and spices grown, as well as the coffee growing process. In the end, they provide you with a taste of their filter coffee. Cost: Rs. 300 per guest.
4. Raja's Seat
Said to be the king's seat during the old times, this viewpoint has many colors for the eye. The view is mesmerizing, and the sunset view is not to be missed! In the evening, there is a light and sound show that can entertain you before your hearty meal.
Miscellaneous Tips
The Best Season to visit Coorg is September to June. Avoid Monsoons, if possible, as it might not enable you to visit your desired places.
Having a vehicle is highly recommended, as most places to visit will be not close to your place of stay.
